The musings of a new Naturalista: Deep conditioner from Nature

"You put what on your hair? Really, why?"

If you haven't been asked this question then you either don't experiment with hair products, or your friends are overly acquainted with You-Tube and hair blogs. Or maybe you're the one left asking such questions.

By now you're probably wondering what I told my friend which warranted such a response. Well I was explaining one of my natural deep conditioners, one made out of bananas.

Its really not all that weird once you've done some research and learn of the benefits. Just consult Google and you'll be a believer.

Here's the simple recipe, try it out and see for yourself.

Ingredients:

2 Whole Ripe Bananas
2 Tbs Extra Virgin Olive Oil (evoo)
2 Tbs Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (evco)
2 Tbs Honey

Simply blend all ingredients together and apply to hair. When hair is saturated with the mixture cover it with a plastic cap. You can leave it on for any period of time 30 mins to an hour or even over night.

Enjoy the moisture, the softness and the shine as well as the other benefits.

Top 4 movies to see ATM

Like many persons this movie is just a must see for me.
Battleship, one because I absolutely positively love action movies (I use to be one who love "chick-flicks" but not anymore, action movies are my favorite). And two because my girl crush Rihanna is in this movie :D.
If you've seen the trailer then my wanting to see this movie should go unquestioned.
Its Johnny Depp man! LOL that and the fact it looks freaking hilarious.

These are my top four must see movies at the moment! Can't wait to see them! :D

Hair 101

So I haven't really posted here in a while and I've been wondering what I should post about. So I've decided to  do my first in a series of posts all about repairing and taking care of my hair.

If you're any thing like me you have horribly damaged hair. (Quick History: My hair is chemically straightened its been five years. Before I chemically straightened my hair I had shoulder length long wavy/ curly hair (I'm a mix of east-Indian and African). When I chemically straightened my hair I did not take good care of it and now I have lots of breakage.)

I've researched a bunch of products and have developed a hair care regiment. Over the next couple of weeks I'll explain my hair care regiments and how they work for me. Stay tuned.

February Favs! :)

I happen to really love my nails and experimenting with new nail colours, designs and all that good stuff. However, I noticed that I had two major problems occurring with my beautiful nails :(, so I researched a bunch of products and decided to go with two products from Sally Hansen.

Problem #1: My nails had become very weak and chipped rather easily and didn't grow as before.

Solution: Sally Hansen Maximum Growth

Thoughts: I did see an improvement in my nails in about one week. My only issue with this product is that it peels/comes off very easily. However the main point is that it works!!!

Problem #2: My cuticles! They needed desperate help!

Solution: Sally Hansen Cuticle Problem Remover

Thoughts: Terrific product. (The product needs to sit on your cuticles for a couple minutes)

I really love these products and I think that they are gonna be keepers!!
